Holidays to Laos
A holiday to Laos is like a journey back in time. Switch off, unplug and relax in the most laid-back country in Asia. After only recently opening its doors to tourists, you’ll discover inspiringly modest villages, breath-taking and unspoilt scenery, and some of the friendliest people you’ll ever meet.
The towns and cities in Laos are a delightful contrast to the buzz of its more well-known neighbours like Thailand and Vietnam. In the modest capital of Vientiane, you’ll find elegant architecture and a growing café culture, while in the sleepy province of Champasak you’ll gain a real sense of the authentic traditions that Laos is known for.
The diverse landscape in Laos offers a wealth of activities for you to enjoy. If you’re a thrill seeker, head to Vang Vieng where you can trek through mesmerising underground river caves, swing your way through exhilarating jungle zip lines, or kayak down the Mekong river. If you’re a nature lover, you’ll enjoy exploring the jungle, surveying the glittering rice fields and spotting wondrous animals like gibbons and leopards, and hundreds of species of birds.
