Holidays to the Philippines

If you're seeking island paradise, a trip to the Philippines won't disappoint. Here you’ll have your pick of over 7000 tropical islands, from the gentle turquoise waters of Palawan to volcanic studded islands boasting underground rivers and natural infinity pools.

These waters are a divers dream too. From easy beach entries perfect for newbies to offshore underwater wonderlands, there's a site for everyone. Our pick? The Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park. An isolated UNESCO World Heritage Site - the reef system here is home to over 600 species of fish and more than 300 types of coral. If that whets your appetite for wildlife there is plenty more to see – the wide-eyed Tarsiers of Bohol are a must.

Back on land many of the jungle clad islands are perfect for mountain biking and the many mountains make a mean hike for those with stamina. Beach bums will find plenty of picture perfect beaches to chill on and the more energetic among you will be satiated with epic surfing and world-class kiteboarding.

It's not hard to see the past in these parts too, from ancient rice terraces to crumbling Spanish churches, there is plenty here to please history buffs. The island's cultures are evident too, from the traditional tribal villages and colonial towns to the dizzying calendar of festivals and many local delicacies.
