This exciting trip to Malaysia and Thailand includes international flights, transfers, accommodation, some meals, learning to meditate with monks and all mentioned excursions. We’ll take care of the boring bits leaving you to make the most of your holiday.

It’s time to pack your bags and fly into the capital city of ThailandBangkok! You’ll be met by a guide and transferred to your hotel where you’ll have plenty of time to settle in and explore the city at your own pace. On your last full day in the capital you’ll make your way to Wat Mahathat, one of the most important meditation centres in Bangkok. Here you’ll spend time with monks, learn the techniques of meditation and practice alongside locals. In the evening you’ll enjoy a private tuk tuk tour through the historic streets of Old Bangkok where you’ll swing by delicious eateries and historic landmarks.

Another day, another island paradise! Today you’re off to the Thai island of Ko Lipe, near Malaysia’s border. The snorkelling and diving opportunities are exceptional here, with some of Thailand’s best reefs within easy reach. While you’re here you can also explore the rest of the Ko Tarutao National Park which encompasses 51 islands. On your travels you might spot wild pigs, sea eagles and even sea otters! If that sounds like too much hard work, relax on the beaches stopping only to sip ice cool beer or dine at one of the island’s many island eateries.

Say ta-ra to Thailand and meet Malaysia! You’re heading to one of Malaysia’s ultimate island escapes, Langkawi, known for its sandy shores, ancient rainforests and warm seas. Why not fly through the rainforest canopy in a cable car or try wandering across the 125m long Sky Bridge? On your last full day on the island you’ll enjoy a gentle cruise through lush mangrove forests for some wildlife spotting. You’ll finish up with a visit to a bat cave and nearby fish farm before enjoying a relaxing lunch at a local restaurant.

Today you’re off to George Town, the colourful capital of the Malaysian island of Penang. Here you’ll enjoy a fabulous dim sum breakfast while you listen to a guide talk about the city’s culinary traditions. Next it’s on to Chow Rasta, a wet market which has been going since the early 1800s. You’ll finish up with a fascinating street art tour of George Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

On Day 14 it’s time to go home, relaxed and with plenty of new wonderful travelling memories of Thailand and Malaysia.
