Caprivi house boat safari

If you want to get off the beaten track, this is a seriously scenic way to do it. On this tour you’ll hop aboard a boat for a cruise down either the Zambezi or Chobe River. Both of these rivers are renowned for their beauty, and together form a 130km border between Namibia and Zambia. This cruise is your chance to explore them by sunset.

Once you arrive you’ll board the boat and get ready to head off, then relax with a cool drink while taking in the beautiful sunset scenery down the river. As you meander your way down the river look out for hippos, otters and many different types of birds. If you’re really lucky you might even spot a crocodile!

Over the course of several hours your experienced skipper will answer any questions you might have about the local area, river and wildlife. And if that sounds like so much fun you’d rather stay longer? Not a problem – opt for an overnight safari instead.

With this option you’ll finish up the cruise and then head to a secluded white sandbank to warm up around a campfire. When sleep calls, you’ll retire to your tent under the stars and be lulled to sleep by the sounds of the African night. What an adventure!

Let's talk
I grew up near the picturesque fishing village of Rye, in East Sussex. However, my heart has always been in Africa since I was a young girl. Having a South African father meant my love for the history and colour of this fantastic continent has been a prominent part of my life, and so getting to travel to seven different countries over the last few years has been a dream come true. One of my highlights was flying in the famous yellow bi-plane across Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in Kenya.
