Starting in Entebbe, you'll have the chance to get up close with reptiles and chimpanzees before heading off to Murchison Falls National Park for rhino tracking, nature walks, animal spotting, bush breakfasts and boat cruises to the bottom of Murchison Falls. Stopping back off in Entebbe for a museum visit and horse riding expedition, the family adventure concludes in Zanzibar, where you'll spend four nights in five-star accommodation offering multiple swimming pools, various watersports activities, spa treatments and local monkey and turtle expeditions. With so much do and see, the entire family is in for a treat!

From the first conversation until you arrive home from your holiday, you’ll be looked after by one of our Travel Designers who has travelled extensively in the region and will give advice from their personal experience on how to make the most out of your trip. All of our trips are entirely bespoke and we will continually refine your itinerary until it’s perfect.
After your flight to Entebbe, you'll be picked up from the airport and transferred to The Guinea Fowl, a contemporary guest house about 10 minutes from the airport. Here you will spend two nights in an en-suite family room. Enjoy lunch at the lodge before spending the rest of the day at your leisure - after a long flight, you might want take advantage of the accommodation's on-site massage and manicure facilities!
The next day after breakfast, we recommend a walk through the captivating Botanic Gardens (approx. 10 minutes from the hotel), followed by an exhilarating educational experience of snakes, chameleons, lizards, crocodiles and more at the Reptile Village. Take a boat over to Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary - an unmissable activity while in Entebbe. The Sanctuary is a conservation project where rescued or orphaned chimpanzees that are unable to return to the wild are raised and homed in as natural an environment as possible. The chimps emerge from the forest twice a day at 11am and 2pm for their bite to eat. The day concludes with a transfer back to the hotel, where an evening meal will be served.
Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast on day three, you'll drive through Kampala to your next hotel, stopping off at Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch on the way. Approximately three hours and 45 minutes from Entebbe, this ranch is home to 21 southern white rhinos and is the only place to see rhinos in the whole of Uganda. Upon arrival, you'll enjoy lunch in the restaurant before embarking on a two-hour guided nature walk or rhino tracking expedition. Following your chosen activity, you'll then be transferred across to the Chobe Safari Lodge in Murchison Falls National Park, where you'll stay in a family bungalow for the next four nights with breakfast, lunch and dinner included. Take your time settling into the stunning lodge, which boasts beautiful panoramic views and soothing sounds of the River Nile's rapids, before sitting down to a delicious evening dinner at the lodge.
Wake up well with a delicious breakfast at the lodge, which impressively overlooks the Nile River. Enjoy exploring the local environment, keeping an eye out for animals such as hippos, crocodiles and elephants. With a three-tier swimming pool on site and the choice to take part in game drives and bush breakfasts, it won't be difficult keeping you and the little ones entertained here! Nile River Boat Cruises to the bottom of Murchison Falls are always available, where you can enjoy a culture talk or take part in fishing. You also have the chance to experience a Murchison Falls nature walk to the top of the falls as well as a memorable boat trip to the Nile Delta. Reminisce on your experience so far during your final evening at the lodge, then dream about the white sandy beaches and alluring aromas of Zanzibar on the horizon.
After your last breakfast on the Nile, you'll be transferred back to Entebbe. To break up the five-hour transfer, a stop off will be made in Kampala for lunch followed by a visit to the Uganda National Museum. Afterwards, the transfer will continue to Entebbe, where you'll stay for another night in a family room at The Guinea Fowl.
The next day after breakfast at the lodge, enjoy a day of horse riding around Lake Victoria's shores on some of the community's most beautiful and well cared-for horses. Or make a return to the intriguing botanical gardens.
That evening, you'll be transferred across to Entebbe Airport (approx. 10 minutes) for a flight to Zanzibar via Nairobi. After touching down, a car will transport you across to Neptune Pwani Beach Resort and Spa, a five-star complex about an hour from the airport and where you'll spend the final four evenings of your holiday. Over the next few days, you and the little ones will have all the time in the world to make use of the fabulous hotel's many facilities and activities including two swimming pools, a kids' pool, table tennis, beach volleyball, an aqua gym, spa, diving, kite surfing, kayaking, snorkelling and pool tables. In addition, you'll also have the chance to feed and swim with the turtles at Mnarani Marine Turtles Conservation Pond, visit the monkeys at Jozani Forest Reserve and embark on a dhow trip, spice tour and visit to Stone Town. With bars, restaurants and beaches surrounding the complex, it won't be hard to keep the whole family entertained! And if you fancy some time to yourself, call on the friendly on-site babysitters to watch over your little ones.
On day twelve, after breakfast, you'll be transferred back to Zanzibar airport for your flight to Nairobi Airport followed by your overnight flight back to London. After an exciting few days, you'll no doubt want to rest on the flight home, ready to tell your family and friends about your incredible family adventure to East Africa!
