Victoria Falls Sunset Cruise

Discover the world’s most magnificent waterfall with an unforgettable sunset cruise along the lower reaches of the Zambezi River towards Victoria Falls. At 1708 metres wide, Victoria Falls has to be seen to be believed. Columns of spray can be seen for miles on end as you approach its entrance, which also acts as the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia.

You’ll be collected from your hotel, with trips departing from 16.00 in the winter months and 16.30 in the summer months. You will also be asked to provide dietary requirements when booking, as you’ll get the opportunity to enjoy mouth-watering sushi and other gourmet canapés during your cruise.

The cruise is designed to replicate the opulence and sophistication of quintessential British safaris. You’ll be taken smoothly along the shores of the Zambezi River. Occasionally, elephants will take to the river and swim from one side of the river to the other – a majestic sight to behold. Set against this picturesque backdrop, you’ll enjoy chilled refreshments and snacks by your team of friendly and knowledgeable staff, who will point out areas of interest en-route.

Bird-watchers will also love the opportunity to discover some of the many species that live within the waterways of the Zambezi and the small islands nearing the Victoria Falls.

I adore Africa and have lived and worked in South Africa as well as travelling across the wider region. Spotting a leopard during a night safari at Nambiti Private Game Reserve is definitely an experience I'll remember forever.
