Phare Circus Show, Siem Reap

This evening, attend a performance of 'Phare, the Cambodian Circus'. Established in Battambang in 1994, a city known for its art scene, by refugees of the Khmer Rouge era, Phare promotes performing arts as a way to cope with trauma. Over the years Phare has played an influential role in promoting and developing Khmer culture. The enthralling hour-long show combines traditional and modern theatre with music, dance, acrobatics, juggling and contortion performed in a story about modern life in Cambodia.

Cambodia is such a diverse an interesting country, with beautiful nature and some of the world’s most incredible temples. The bike ride I embarked on through the ancient city of Angkor is definitely one of my most treasured memories.
