Cityscape of Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong
Eaton Hotel, Kowloon
- Free Wi-Fi
- Good location
With a handy location on Kowloon, the Eaton is an excellent base to explore Hong Kong from. Shops and sights are on the doorstep of the Eaton and transport links are nearby, too. Although it doesn’t claim to be an all-singing, all-dancing affair, the rooms at Eaton are still well-equipped with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, smartphone docking stations and in-room hairdryers. Family rooms have bunk beds that are bound to be a hit with kids and can accommodate up to five people. Helpfully, strollers are available on request too.
There’s a gym and a pool available but take advantage of the daily, complimentary Tai Chi classes to start your day right. The hotel provides jogging maps so you can find your bearings of the city on a morning run if Tai Chi isn’t up your street.
The Metro Buffet & Grill is a good spot for breakfast and there are traditional Hong Kong dishes alongside western breakfast staples. There’s a Michelin-starred restaurant if you fancy a slap-up dinner. Come evening, try the T Bar and T Garden for a relaxing al fresco beverage.
The simple yet comfortable rooms are a big hit, and after trying out the free Tai Chi, I'm officially converted.
