Set amid vibrant rainforests and majestic mountains is the breath-taking Four Seasons Resort Langkawi. Boasting beachfront gardens around a mile long stretch of Tanjong Rhu beach, you’ll benefit from stunning surroundings as well as all the modern amenities you’d expect from a 5-star hotel. While the resort has a secluded feel, you’re also within reach of some of Langkawi’s top tourist spots. A few minutes by boat takes you into a maze of mangroves on the coast, while the ancient rainforests are just a short trip away.

Traditionally Malaysian in its style, the hotel entrance is through a high ochre wall that leads into an ancient courtyard. Neutral tones are featured throughout, with geometric patterns and bold artwork taking influence from Morocco and the Middle East. This extends to the guest rooms, which feature Malay architecture and Moorish design as well as polished hardwood floors and dark wood furniture. With a variety of room types to choose from, including family rooms, you’re bound to find accommodation to suit your needs.

The centre point is the hotel’s large pool, complete with private cabanas dotted around the outside – the ideal spot for a leisurely swim or a chance to linger over a cocktail or two. For the little ones, there are designated children’s pools too, where they can splash around safely. Elsewhere in the resort, there are a number of leisure activities. Floodlit tennis courts, bicycle rental and even a water sports centre offer plenty of things to do for adrenaline-seeking guests.

For those who would rather kick back and relax, there is the Four Season’s Geo Spa. Offering a wide range of treatments as well as salon services and yoga classes, it’s the idea sanctuary. Indulge in a traditional massage or opt for a facial or fully body treatment as you enjoy spectacular sea views.

There are three dining opportunities at the Four Seasons, with each restaurant offering something different. Ikan-Ikan serves up delicious Malaysian cuisine against the backdrop of the Andaman Sea, while Serai boasts hearty Italian dishes. Kelapa Grill has a number of great Asian dishes, taking inspiration from across the region.
