Let's talk
An extraordinary moment from my time in Indonesia was watching the sunrise at Ijen after a big climb up (and even down into!) the volcano. The country has stunning scenery and wildlife, from smoking volcanoes to fantastic dive sites, Komodo dragons and cheeky orangutans.

Ubud

General Tour

It’s time to escape the routine of daily life and prepare yourself for an incredible family adventure to Indonesia

You will arrive at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar, where you will be met and escorted to your hotel in UbudThe remainder of the day is free to just chill out, relax and settle into things, before the action truly begins the following day when you head to the Monkey Forest. You’ll be joining a population of between 600 - 700 wild monkeys that range in age from newly born to fully grown adults. Mating occurs throughout the year, so there’s always a good chance that your little ones will get to see their little ones.

On day 4 you’re off on another adventure – it’s time for an exhilarating rafting experience on the rapids beneath the jungle canopies, where you can keep an eye out for more monkeys and see who can manage to stay dry!

Things to do

5-6

Munduk

General Tour

After a full breakfast it’s off for another day of action and adventure. On day 5 you are heading to Munduk to take part in the Haunted Valley Expedition. Don’t worry though, it’s not scary and it’s not really haunted (we think). You won’t be seeing ghosts, but you will be seeing some of the most incredible natural scenery in Indonesia. You’ll walk over emerald green rice terraces, cycle through thick jungle and under towering trees, then bump over dirt tracks in a Komodo Finn 4WD car. Then, to top off the excitement, you will walk along the stream to a stunning waterfall where you can take a refreshing dip.

Day 6 will be spent at the Sanak Hotel, where you’ll have arrived the previous evening after your Haunted Valley Adventure. This beautiful, family-friendly boutique hotel is the perfect place to unwind. Chill out at the spa, float in the pool and perhaps even receive a family blessing from their resident healer.

7-8

Menjangan

Beach

After breakfast you'll head to the peaceful Menjangan Island. Menjangan is the Indonesian word for 'deer', which will come as no surprise when you see these graceful animals frolicking along the coastline.

You're free to enjoy your time here as you wish, and you certainly won’t be short of options. This small island has some of the most incredible snorkelling, with diverse marine life and crystal-clear waters so that you can really appreciate it. We would highly recommend taking an underwater camera or even a GoPro as this is one sight you are going to want to remember.

9-10

Lovina

Beach

You won't want to leave Menjangan, but don’t worry as you’re about to see somewhere else that’s just as special – you’re off to Lovina.

Enjoy a relaxing family afternoon at the beach, then wake refreshed the following morning for an unforgettable experience as you journey on a spectacular dolphin watching tour. The waters around Lovina are heavily populated with these jesters, but still remain quite untouched by man, making them an amazing place to witness these majestic animals in their natural habitat.

On day 11 it’s back to the water as we take you and your family to Benoa Harbour, where you’ll be climbing aboard a boat and venturing to the Mangrove Jungle, slowly floating through a canopy of shady mangroves and twisted vines, whilst listening to the sound of local sea birds and keeping your eyes peeled for monkeys and lizards. Sea-levels permitting, you will also be stopping at Turtle Island, a small delta fully covered by white sand where turtles thrive. This turtle conservation hotspot is located in Tanjung Benoa; a beautiful beach that you will cross on a glass bottomed boat. See colourful fish from the shelter of the boat or stop to take a refreshing dip and get up close and personal during some snorkelling.

11-15

Nusa Dua

Beach

It’s been an exciting time and you've experienced so much - what better way to bring your family holiday to a close than to head to the beach for a few days? Soak up the sun, splash about in the warm seas and relive the memories you’ve made at Nusa Dua; famous for its golden sands and palm-fringed shores, it's the perfect spot to reflect on what is sure to have been a family experience of a lifetime.
