Orchid Cruise, Halong Bay
- Spa on board
- Connecting cabins for families
- Only two hours drive from Hanoi
In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel and driven to the Orchid Cruise pier. Just two hours drive from Hanoi compared to the usual four-hour journey required of other cruise ships, the Orchid is a great option if you're travelling with little ones. If you're seeking luxury you also have the option of arriving by seaplane. This comes at an additional cost, but the incredible views are well worth it.
From the minute you step on board, you’ll be welcomed like an old friend and made to feel right at home. Each of the sumptuous 14 air-conditioned cabins are finished to a high standard, with polished teak flooring, full-height windows offering panoramic views of Halong Bay, and a private balcony where you can sit and watch the world go by. Families will love the connecting cabins and Family Suites - the largest onboard - and if you feel like really treating yourself, opt for an Orchid Exclusive Suite, complete with private Jacuzzi.
Facilities on board include a sundeck with wooden loungers, where you can start your day with Tai Chi lessons. You can also try kayaking in the turquoise waters, learn all about Vietnamese cuisine with a cookery class or try your hand at night-time squid fishing. Cruising through Halong Bay, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to stop for a swim or to explore the hidden caves. After a day exploring or relaxing, enjoy some me-time at the spa with a pampering massage.
The Orchid Cruise Restaurant serves high-quality meals all day, while for a special treat, the attentive staff can organise a private beach BBQ – just be sure to book in advance.
With the feel of a luxury boutique hotel, the Orchid is a refined ship but still feels like home. You'll switch off in no time - especially after a massage at the spa.
