Hanoi Half Day Tour
Set off on a walking tour through the Old Quarter, learning about Vietnam’s traditional ways of life while crossing the maze of streets. Continue walking through busy Hang Be Market onto the tranquil Hoan Kiem Lake, a popular beauty spot with locals. The Ngoc Son Temple pagoda sits in the middle on a small island.
Next up is a visit to the Temple of Literature, constructed in 1076. The picturesque compound served as a university and temple for the city’s residents. A short drive away is the One Pillar Pagoda, one of Vietnam’s most iconic temples where you’ll stop to snap some pictures. Nearby, the mausoleum in memory of the country’s former leader, Ho Chi Minh, can be seen from the outside, and from here it’s just a short walk to his stilt house where you’ll learn about his life and legacy.
If time allows, an extra stop can be made at the Vietnam Women’s Museum. This highly acclaimed museum highlights the country’s vast cultural diversity and the significant role women play in Vietnamese society.
