Vietnamese Breakfast in Hanoi

Set off early to a popular local restaurant for a typical Vietnamese breakfast of Pho (noodle soup). Then visit a coffee shop to sample Vietnamese coffee, "café su da", and be sure to try egg coffee, a Hanoi speciality, which consists of a creamy meringue-like foam on top of dense Vietnamese coffee.

Next visit the Temple of Literature, then take a walking tour through the 36 streets of Hanoi's Old Quarter where you can learn about the Vietnamese way of life. Continue to busy Hang Be Market to explore the stalls, and wander Hoan Kiem Lake.

You’ll be dropped back at your hotel and the rest of the afternoon is yours to enjoy as you please.

The simple memory of eating a bowl of Pho whilst watching the sunset in Halong Bay is one of my fondest from my time living in Vietnam. The wonderful warm people, incredible nature and fantastic food of Vietnam will always keep me coming back.
