Hoi An Countryside by Vespa

Zip through the streets of Hoi An's old town riding pillion on the back of a vintage Vespa to a local café where your guide will explain the day’s itinerary in more detail over a cup of coffee.

Then return your scooter and head to the busy fishing port of Cam Kim Island, stopping at a traditional boat builder’s yard before venturing off to explore other rural villages. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to stop and capture a snap of the beautiful countryside as you weave through the rustic scenery of rice paddies and farmland, enjoy stops along the way. A local family will show you the art of mat weaving, traditional farming techniques and how to make the perfect banh dap, a delicious rice cracker snack. Arriving at another small village, stop at a local coffee maker for a caffeine fix before conquering the bamboo bridge that spans the river to the opposite bank.

Before midday, cross the Cua Dai bridge to the rice fields where a delicious lunch will be served. After lunch, your memorable tour comes to a close with one last ride back to the hotel.

The simple memory of eating a bowl of Pho whilst watching the sunset in Halong Bay is one of my fondest from my time living in Vietnam. The wonderful warm people, incredible nature and fantastic food of Vietnam will always keep me coming back.
