Morning in Hoi An, Vietnam
Morning Tour of Hoi An
Sunrise in Hoi An is a great way to start the day. You’ll be collected from your hotel at 5am and will head for the bustling Hoi An market, packed with colour and fragrance, to see the traders at work, haggling with customers over the cost of the morning catch. You’ll breakfast like a local with ‘banh mi’, Vietnam’s answer to the sandwich, and delicious Vietnamese coffee. Watch local people practicing Tai Chi beside the Hoai River, then explore the alleyways before the rest of the city wakes and the tourists arrive.
You’ll then take a local boat and cycle to Kim Bong village through picturesque countryside where time appears to have stood still, and where you’ll meet friendly locals who are happy to stop and chat. You’ll visit a boat building workshop to learn how to build a traditional wooden boat, and can try your hand at making rice paper. You’ll be transferred back to your hotel in time for a quick nap before heading out to explore the rest of the city.
