Jeep Tour to My Son Ruins, Hoi An

Your renovated American War Jeep will arrive to pick you up at 07:30. Hop on and you’ll be whisked through peaceful countryside hamlets where you can watch local go about their daily business. Your first stop is a busy market where you can try delicious Vietnamese coffee, followed by a fascinating piglet market. Your journey towards My Son continues past picturesque paddy fields.

You’ll arrive at the My Son ruins mid-morning and will set off on foot to explore the dozens of red brick towers that were developed between the 7th-13th centuries. As the religious and political capital of the Champa Kingdom, My Son is one of the most significant Cham sites in Vietnam. The site was bombed heavily during the war, causing serious damage to most of the monuments, and bombs crater can still be found throughout the grounds. Wander around the paths for an hour or so and soak up the atmosphere.

At midday you’ll start your journey back to Hoi An, visiting a bronze casting village and stopping at a local house to learn about the important of this ancient craft. You’ll then visit a village for lunch, where you can learn more about the local way of life, before returning to your hotel in Hoi An around 14:30.
