Saigon Half-day Highlights

Your tour will start at your hotel at 8:00am. You’ll begin with a tour with a visit to the Reunification Palace, Saigon’s most iconic and famous building, renowned as the site of Saigon’s fall in 1975. Walk your way to the colonial quarter, past the impressive Opera House, French-inspired Continental Hotel, and Dong Khoi Street – the tree-lined street that forms the centrepoint of the neighbourhood. Your local guide will tell you all about the fascinating history of Saigon along the way.

The War Remnants Museum is your next stop, where the thought-provoking exhibitions will provide a sombre insight into Vietnam’s military history and fight for independence. You’ll finish your tour at the atmospheric Jade Emperor pagoda, one of the most important shrines in the city, where you’ll learn more about the city’s Cantonese Buddhist population. The simple memory of eating a bowl of Pho whilst watching the sunset in Halong Bay is one of my fondest from my time living in Vietnam. The wonderful warm people, incredible nature and fantastic food of Vietnam will always keep me coming back.
