'Sounds of Silence' Sunset Dinner, Uluru

If you have ever dreamed of eating under the stars whilst in one of the most unique landscapes in the world, then this experience is for you. Entered into Australia's Tourism Hall of Fame as a one-of-a-kind experience, this is an opportunity to enjoy a magical night of dining under the sparkling outback sky whilst enjoying a delicious three-course bush tucker inspired buffet. This is known as the 'Sounds of Silence' and the experience takes place overlooking Ayers Rock (Uluru)

The evening will begin with canapés and chilled sparkling wine served on a viewing platform overlooking the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. As the sun begins to set, you will enjoy a local didgeridoo performance before heading to your table for an unforgettable dining experience with local Aboriginal performances throughout. With a selection of quality Australian wine and beer, and native foods such as crocodile, kangaroo, barramundi and quandong, this will be a truly special night. And before the night ends, the resident star talker will decode the southern night sky, pointing out the signs of the zodiac, the Milky Way, as well as the planets and galaxies that are visible.

Highlights

  • Enjoy a traditional bush tucker buffet, with kangaroo on offer

  • See the Milky Way and planets in the night sky

I love spending my days barefoot or in flip flops, so laid-back Melbourne was the perfect place to live. My favourite adventure from my time living in Australia was the 3-month campervan road trip along the East Coast – full of sun, sea and scuba diving!
