Let's talk
I can’t forget the vast landscapes, stunning scenery, wonderful wildlife and friendly people from the four years I spent living in Canada. I’ve explored the length and depth of the country, but my favourite moment was riding next to the pilot in a sea plane, listening to air traffic control whilst flying over the Gulf Islands!

Canmore

Activity & Adventure

Your international flight touches down in Calgary where you’ll be met by your transfer, the Brewster Express, to take you to the smart Coast Hotel in Canmore, about 90 minutes away. At the hotel, you’ll meet your guide and get acquainted with some of your fellow hikers. This is when you’ll be briefed on the challenges to come before you retire to your comfy bed for a restorative sleep ahead of tomorrow’s adventures.

Your guide will meet you after breakfast and then it’s straight into your first hike. Exactly where you’ll go will depend on the weather, but it won’t be too difficult to start with, allowing the group to acclimatise to the drier air and higher altitude of Kananaskis country. Then it’s back to the Coast Hotel where the evening is yours to explore the town of Canmore and choose where to have your evening meal.

3-4

Lake Louise

Activity & Adventure

After breakfast, your group will drive north to Lake Louise stopping to hike in Kootenay National Park on the way, perhaps visiting Stanley Glacier (admiring the abundance of colourful wildflowers) or Kindersley Pass. Then it’s back on the road to complete the drive north to the phenomenal Lake Louise in Banff National Park This extraordinarily blue lake is mesmerising and if it’s your first visit, you’ll be particularly captivated by the view.

5-7

Banff

Activity & Adventure

Say goodbye to Lake Louise – it’s time to head west to the Kicking Horse Pass in Yoho National Park. You’ll either hike to Yoho Lake, where you’ll get incredible views of the Takkakaw Falls and the Yoho Valley, or be challenged to hike the legendary Iceline Trail, high above the valley. You’ll be rewarded with outstanding views across the scenery. Post-hike, and buzzing from your experience, you’re off to Banff for the next two nights.

Day 6 is your final day of hiking. Banff National Park awaits, and you’ll be heading to Healy Meadows, Sunshine or Larch Valley. Enjoy a final night in Banff recalling the adventures of the past week.

After breakfast on Day 7you’ll be transferred back to Calgary in plenty of time for your overnight flight back to the UK.
