After flying into Salvador, you'll be picked up and privately driven across to Villa Bahia, a colourful central hotel about 30 minutes from the airport, where you'll spend your first two nights. Rest after the long flight with a good night's sleep in your deluxe bedroom, waking up to a delicious breakfast at the hotel the next day, before a half-day tour around the city. Over four hours, you'll have the chance to take in the many historic buildings of Salvador on foot, including the museums and churches housing incredible art collections. Afterwards, the tour will stop off at an authentic Capoeira school. Here you'll learn all about the traditional Afro-Brazilian martial arts that combines hints of music, acrobatics and dance, and you'll even have the chance to learn a couple of steps too!

Lençóis

Activity & Adventure

On day 3 of the trip, it's on to Lençóis, a charming little town in Chapada Diamantina National Park. An hour's flight from Salvador followed by a 30-minute transfer, Lençóis marks the most adventurous leg of the trip - during this time you'll reside at the pretty and picturesque Canto das Aguas for a total of four nights. After checking in, a 30-minute orientation tour will be held to help you get your bearings then the rest of the day is yours to spend at your leisure.

The next day, action and adventure awaits throughout, with a full-day car tour showing you to the most spectacular sights in Lençóis, including Devil's Pool, Lapa Doce cave, picturesque Pratinha, the Blue Grotto and Pai Inacio hill, which offers fantastic views of the surroundings. With the additional option of abseiling and zip lining in Rio Mucugezinho River, this action-packed day marks an incredible adventure that will be cherished by the whole family for years to come.

On day 5, you'll naturally want some recovery time, so spend the day at your leisure doing whatever suits your energy levels. Staying at such a beautiful spot, you might want to make the most of the lush grounds and stunning views - not to mention the hotel's irresistible swimming pool designed to resemble the Lençóis River. After a good rest and refuel, further adventure awaits on day 6, with a full-day tour by car taking you to explore further wonders of Chapada Diamantina National Park that you might struggle to see solo. From the unmissable natural waterslide Ribeiro do Meio and the natural pools of the Serrano River to the Hall of Coloured Sand and the swim-friendly Primavera Waterfall, this spectacular tour and the incredible views that come with is sure to leave a lasting impression on every family member.

Praia do Forte

As your trip nears a close, it's time to hit the road again with a transfer back to Lençóis Airport, where you'll hop back to Salvador via a one-hour flight followed by a 90-minute car transfer to the gorgeous Tivoli Eco Resort in Praia do Forte, Salvador de Bahia. Spend the next four days and nights completely at your leisure, taking your time exploring the luxury accommodation that boasts multiple swimming pools and water slides, 30 outdoor sports, a wellness spa, gym, tennis court and close proximity to the beach. After a few days here, you can rest assured that you'll be flying home on day 11 from Salvador airport feeling refreshed and revived after an epic and unforgettable family holiday.
