Tango dancers in Argentina
Dine & dance, Buenos Aires
It’s practically compulsory to see a Tango show while you’re in Buenos Aires, and where better to do it than Esquina Carlos Gardel? This VIP package includes a decadent three course dinner and VIP seats for a spectacular Tango show.
The building itself dates back to 1893 and today its history remains evident in the grand high ceiling, rich antique furniture and sympathetic décor. It’s the perfect setting for an elegant yet glamorous night of Tango.
You’ll start your evening with a delicious three course dinner. Esquina Carlos Gardel blends international inspiration with classic argentine dishes for an unforgettable menu. A typical meal could include Patagonian prawns wrapped in bacon, grilled Angus tenderloin with potatoes browned in rosemary butter followed by chocolate mousse on Breton biscuit with pistachios syrup. You’ll also enjoy choosing from an extensive selection of wine.
Once your hunger has been satisfied, it’s time to kick back and watch the show. The orchestra is led by the hugely accomplished Erica di Salvo, who has performed internationally under renowned directors and been with Esquina Carlos Gardel since 2001. The show will take you through the history of the dance with five pairs of dancers showcasing the styles from the early origins to present day. You’ll also get to see both classical stage dance tango and ballroom tango.
