Costa Rica Holidays

Costa Rica’s biodiversity makes it one of the most colourful and diverse places to visit in the world, with deep rainforests and ancient cities to explore. Travellers can even spot gliding toucans as they pass across treetop bridges in cloud forests, or watch the luscious landscape beneath them whilst ascending the many towering volcanoes.

On Costa Rica holidays, you can venture through the iconic landscapes in many ways. Try ziplining among the treetops, hiking along the undulating floor of bright rainforests, go white water rafting down glittering rivers, or seek out hidden waterfalls dotted throughout the region.

Being home to over half a million exotic species, wildlife enthusiasts flock to see the tree frogs, sloths, ocelots and hummingbirds, in forests that feel truly alive. The meandering coastlines create the perfect environment to surf and scuba dive, especially beside the giant, mythical volcanic rock –- Roca Bruja. Also, enjoy the sprinkling of vibrant islands here, where you can explore the labyrinth of remarkable caverns beneath the surface.

The capital, - San José, is filled to the brim with delightful tapas restaurants, chocolate and coffee tours, and exciting food tours in lively local markets. Peer at the animated traditional masks in Escazú - (the ‘City of Witches’), or set off on a day trip and sail to the turtle-filled sandy shores of Tortuguero National Park. Enjoy the Fiestas Cívicas nine times a year, and experience Costa Rican culture, from bull riding to candlelit parties which continue well into the night.
