Starting in Rio de Janeiro, you'll be shown to some of the city's best sights including the Christ the Redeemer statue on the peak of Corcovado Mountain and Sugarloaf mountain, where you'll watch the sunset with an authentic Brazilian cocktail in hand. The second part of the trip will be spent in the paradise that is Búzios, which boasts over 17 magnificent beaches that are yours for the taking. With days to spend at your leisure in both destinations and luxury accommodation to boot, this trip is ideal for anybody that enjoys laid-back travelling with a little bit of guidance.

Rio de Janeiro
After touching down in Rio de Janeiro, you'll be picked up and driven to the luxurious Sofitel Ipanema, your home for the next four nights. Settle in to your Superior Queen room taking in the city views at your own leisure and prepare for the day ahead. After breakfast at the hotel the next day, you'll be whisked off to Corcovado Mountain to see the famous Christ the Redeemer statue. Offering 360-degree views of the surroundings, this cultural icon really is a sight to behold with modern lifts and escalators taking you from the base of the statue up to the mountaintop. After an unforgettable morning, you'll be whisked off to Ipanema Beach, where you can experience one of the famous pork sausages from the ever-popular beach bar, Barraca do Uruguay.
On day 3, spend the morning at your leisure before a trip to locals' favourite Bar Urca for a cold and refreshing afternoon beer. Take in the stunning scenery that surrounds the spot, before witnessing the magic that is sunset on Sugarloaf Mountain. Take a snap and toast your Caipirinha (Brazil's national cocktail) in celebration of your first couple of days in Brazil!
The next day is completely yours to spend however you wish. Why not spend the day at the beach with a good book and a beverage? Of if you're after a bit of action, head to the city centre and visit the vibrant Escadaria Selarón and village-like Santa Teresa. That night, witness Rio's high-energy nightlife scene - keep an eye out for samba dancing and impromptu street parties.
Things to do
On day 5, rest off any sign of a sore head and recharge your batteries on the three-hour transfer to the paradise that is Búzios, where you'll spend three nights at the beautiful Pousada Abracadabra. This final leg of the trip is yours to spend at your leisure, so prepare yourself for some serious rest, relaxation and beach-hopping as you explore and make the most of this small and sophisticated spot.
The upscale area of Búzios, which was 'discovered' by Brigitte Bardot and her Brazilian boyfriend in the 1960's, boasts over 17 beaches, each with their own charming personality and magnificent waters. Hire a buggy and casually hop between each popular spot until it's time to go home. On day 8 you'll be transferred back to Rio de Janeiro airport for your flight back home, no doubt feeling fully revived and refreshed after an unforgettable but relaxing Brazilian adventure.
