Sunrise Chobe River Boat Cruise

It’s an early start today, but it will certainly be worth it. Heading off on a guided safari cruise at dawn means that you will get to witness the Chobe River when the wildlife is at one of its most active points of the day. Have your camera at the ready, as the sights you will see will be breathtaking.

Flowing through the Chobe National Park, the river is known for its incredible beauty, so there is no better way to explore the landscape than on the water itself. Boarding the boat, you will be taken down the river with a knowledgeable guide on board to help you spot the animals as well as informing you about the interesting ecosystems and habits that make up the national park.

Keep your eyes peeled as you are likely to see hippos, crocodiles and many different types of birds. If you’re lucky, you may even spot a lion or leopard nearby, as they tend to come out and down to the riverbanks early in the morning.

Let's talk
I grew up near the picturesque fishing village of Rye, in East Sussex. However, my heart has always been in Africa since I was a young girl. Having a South African father meant my love for the history and colour of this fantastic continent has been a prominent part of my life, and so getting to travel to seven different countries over the last few years has been a dream come true. One of my highlights was flying in the famous yellow bi-plane across Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in Kenya.
