Holidays to Mwiba Wildlife Reserve, Tanzania

Mwiba Wildlife Reserve is a 12,500 acre wildlife reserve located at the southern boundary of the Serengeti National Park. It also borders onto the Maswa Game Reserve and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area

The landscape is characterised by rolling hills, kopjes, thickets, waterholes and rivers. Pools form in the rivers which offers relief for an abundance of wildlife in the dry season, however the permanent water attracts wildlife all year round. The wildlife migration also passes through Mwiba between December and April.

Home to just one permanent camp and lodge, Mwiba's vast reserve is shared between just a few guests at a time. The nature of the private reserve means that guests have absolute freedom to go where they want, day or night. There are always expert guides on hand to drive and explain the glorious natural wonders that you'll encounter, such as giraffes lapping up water beneath a full moon in the twinkling night sky, wide-eyed bush babies frolicking in the trees, wily leopards and inquisitive hyenas. And all of this, without encountering a single other safari vehicle (unless they have something exciting for you to see!).

  • Enjoy the ultimate in bush luxury

  • Watch the sunset with a cocktail in a secluded bath

  • Gaze across over 50,000 acres of private reserve

  • Go on fascinating bushwalks with expert Mwiba guides

Let's talk
When people think of Tanzania, they think of the Serengeti National Park, they think of David Attenborough narrating over a stalking cheetah. Tanzania simply embodies safari. You can also visit the vibrant 'safari city', known as Arusha. I bought some beautiful, one-of-a-kind, hand-made glasses here, which were crafted by people with learning disabilities. This great social enterprise is known as Shanga, and you can visit here during your stay and learn how everything is made.
