  • Ideal for wildlife enthusiasts and adventure seekers
  • Picturesque surroundings in a protected nature reserve
  • Sleep in an authentic Bornean timber lodge

If you’re looking for an authentic stay in Borneo, we’ve found the place for you. This tropical hideaway is a little slice of an adventurer’s paradise. Set along the banks of the Lipad River, Tabin Wildlife Resort is the only available accommodation in Tabin Wildlife Reserve.

The Wildlife Reserve itself was created in 1984 with the intention of preserving the disappearing wild animals of the region, protecting their habitat in the process. Today the sanctuary covers 120 square kilometres, much of it unlogged forest. Wild animals abound in the reserve and visitors to the resort often glimpse the Borneo pygmy elephant just across the river.

Housing at the resort consists of ten Bornean river lodges, and ten matching hill lodges. The lodges are made of local timber and sit on stilts above the land or water, and all the lodges have ensuite bathrooms with hot water showers and ceiling fans. Private balconies mean that all visitors are treated to gorgeous views of either the luscious hillside forest or the lazing Lipad River below.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included in packages for those who stay at the Tabin Wildlife Resort. Dining takes place in the open air Sunbird Café which serves both local and international cuisines, and full board is included during your stay.
