Shinta Mani Shack, Siem Reap

Experiential | Very Good | Excellent | Magnificent | Out of this world

Highlights

  • Spa with a range of unusual treatments
  • Designer décor

Found in Siem Reap’s French Quarter, Shinta Mani Shack is a hotel imagined by the renowned designer, Bill Bensley. Thankfully, the hotel’s edgy styling hasn’t been at the expense of Asian influence or comfort - you’ll find original artwork and supremely cosy beds.

It counts itself as a luxury hotel and so you can expect all the usual pampering amenities and tech-enabled rooms with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and flat screen TVs. The rooms have balconies and patios for al fresco morning coffees while you plan your day.

The eye-catching stripy-tiled pool deserves some of your time. Relax on a sunbed (also stripy) and order drinks and snacks from the pool bar during an afternoon of downtime. The spa shouldn’t be missed either and has some different experiences on offer. Try a session with a meditation master before a healing massage for total mind, body and soul rejuvenation.

Shinta Mani Shack has two restaurants. Bai Tong is open all day and excels at Khmer street food in an airy, foliage filled space. The Steakhouse at Pub Street is Shinta Mani Shack’s American-style steak joint for when you’re ready for a red meat fix and a cool beer to wash it down with.
