Cityscape of Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong
InterContinental Hong Kong, Kowloon
- Impressive spa
- Dazzling waterfront views
- Top location
On the Kowloon waterfront with stupendous views over to Hong Kong island is the iconic InterContinental Hong Kong. Sure, the 1980s exterior isn’t the prettiest, but all is forgiven once you step into the incredible vaulted lobby. And it only gets better from there.
The rooms are styled to be contemporary but super-comfy. Art adorn the walls (there are welcome oriental touches, too) and the Bose sound system will have you scrolling through your playlist for something appropriately relaxing as you lie back on the bed’s crisp linens. 24-hour butler service is standard whatever room category you opt for.
The pool terrace is enticing by both day and night, with the infinity spa pools seemingly blending into Victoria Harbour. For something more energetic, the fitness centre is extremely well equipped. The spa complex, I-Spa, is also impressive and promises total indulgence and pampering.
Dining is exceptional at the InterContinental Hong Kong, drawing crowds from far and wide. There are six options in all, but the jewels of the crown have got to be Rech by Alain Ducasse and NOBU. For a laid-back cocktail, head to the Lobby Lounge at sunset and stay to enjoy the Symphony of Lights laser show through the wall of windows.
The InterContinental Hong Kong welcomes children with mini bathrobes and kid-friendly menus.
