Escape from the crowds and explore the wild and authentic scenery in Laos in peace on this 15 day trip. You’ll spend your days picnicking by waterfalls, cruising the mighty Mekong river, meeting villagers who rarely see outsiders, learning to cook Lao meals and trekking through less trodden paths. 

The Landscapes of Laos itinerary is perfect if you want to go off the beaten track and see remote temples and scenery that not many tourists ever see. You’ll start from the top in Luang Prabang and then trek, tour and cook your way down to Champasak.

Luang Prabang


On Day 1 you’ll be giddy with excitement, ready for your big adventure, rushing around, saying goodbye to everyone and telling Facebook you’re at the airport. You'll fly to Luang Prabang via Bangkok. Your guide will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel to check-in and get settled. Spend the next few days picnicking near Kuang Si Waterfalls, visiting a bear sanctuary and cruising the Mekong river to see the Pak Ou Caves.

Nong Khiaw


Leave the city for the mountains of Nong Khiaw. Spend your time here at your own leisure, visiting the Phathok caves and learning about its role in the "Secret War".

Muang La


After breakfast at your hotel in Nong Khiaw, you’ll grab your bags and cruise up to Muang Khua. On the cruise you’ll see plenty of dramatic scenery and beautiful stretches of river. Then you’ll drive from Muang Khua to your resort. Spend your days here trekking around Northern Laos, visiting rural villages, and relaxing in the natural hot springs.

Capital city

After breakfast in Muang La, fly down to Vientiane. Your time in the capital will be full of spiritual and cultural experiences. Learn all about Lao cooking and try cooking some yourself, and visit the Forest Temple where you'll meet monks and learn about Buddhism.

Champasak & the 4000 islands


Spend the morning in Pakse, visiting the incredible pre- Angkorian temple, Wat Phou, then transfer to a hotel in Champasak. Spend your time in this sleepy province discovering the beauty of the Bolaven Plateau and the 4000 islands.

On day 15 you’ll leave Laos and head home. You’ll be brimming with spellbinding stories of your Laos adventures to share with your friends and family. On the weary flight home, you’ll dream of the remote villages you saw, the epic trek around Northern Laos, the blessings the monks gave you and the wonderfully relaxing resort in Muang Khua.
