PAYMENTS & CANCELLATIONS
WHEN IS MY BALANCE PAYMENT DUE?
When you make a booking with us for a Package Holiday, you will be required to pay us a non-refundable deposit, typically 20% of the quoted holiday price. Where applicable an additional deposit payment may be required to cover any extra costs. The balance of the total cost of your booking must be paid in full at least 60 days before your date of departure. See our Booking Conditions for more details.
HOW CAN I PAY?
We accept all major credit & debit cards (except Diners Club). The most efficient form of payment is by bank transfer which usually incurs no fees. If you would like to arrange your payment by bank transfer please contact your Travel Designer.
DO YOU MAKE A CHARGE FOR PAYMENTS MADE BY CREDIT CARD?
There are no surcharges for paying by credit or debit card. Please call your Travel Designer to make your payment.
I NEED TO CANCEL MY BOOKING. HOW DO I DO IT?
If you, or a member of your party, wish to cancel your booking, you must give us written notice by an email properly addressed to [email protected]. Any such notice of cancellation must be given by the Lead Name on the booking. You will be charged a cancellation fee per person which reflects the losses and costs which we incur in cancelling the booking as follows:

IS MY MONEY PROTECTED?
All the flights and flight-inclusive holidays on this website are financially protected by the ATOL scheme. When you pay, you will be supplied with an ATOL Certificate; which exists to protect the public from losing money or being stranded abroad because of the failure of air travel firms. In the highly unlikely event of our insolvency, the Civil Aviation Authority will ensure that you are not stranded abroad and will arrange to refund any money you have paid to us for an advance booking. You will be issued an ATOL certificate the time of booking; please check to ensure that everything you booked (flights, hotels and other services) is listed on it. WILL I NEED A VISA?
British nationals can enter most American and Asian nations as a tourist without a pre-arranged visa. Check out our Visa & Passport page for more details. For non-British nationals, we suggest that you contact your local embassy/consulate for detailed advice.
- You may need to satisfy the relevant immigration authority of your intended purpose of visit. You may also need to be able to demonstrate that you have enough money for the duration of your stay, and provide details of your accommodation and evidence of return or onward travel.
- Make sure your passport is stamped. If not, you may be fined on departure. Keep your immigration landing card as you’ll need it when you leave. If you lose it you may be fined.
- If you wish to extend your stay whilst in country, you should apply for an extension. If you overstay your visa, you are likely to be given notice to leave the country at your own expense and you may be fined or deported.
- Your passport should be valid for a minimum period of 6 months from the date of entry.
- If you have any questions, please ask your Travel Designer who will be happy to help or to point you in the direction of the relevant authority.
I JUST GOT MARRIED. WHICH NAME SHOULD I TRAVEL IN?
It’s your choice – but you must travel in the same name as is on your passport or you will not be allowed to fly. If you are changing your name following your marriage ceremony, you have two options:
1. Before your wedding ceremony
You can change your maiden name on your passport in advance of your wedding or civil ceremony up to 3 months before the big day by completing a "Passports for newly weds and civil partners" form. It must be signed by the religious minister or registrar who will conduct the ceremony. Changing your name before your wedding ceremony means you will be issued with a post-dated passport and your old passport, including any visas, will be cancelled. You can’t use this post-dated passport before the date of your ceremony so bear this in mind if you have any trips booked prior to your wedding day. It is also important to check the passport rules of the country(s) you are travelling to in advance, as some countries will not issue visas on post-dated passports
2. After your wedding ceremony
To change your name on your passport after your wedding or civil ceremony, you will need to complete a "passport renewal" form. You should allow at least 3 weeks for your new passport to arrive.
If you have any questions about passports, you should contact Her Majesty’s Passport Office (HMPO) or, if you are not a British national, the equivalent in your home country.
IS IT SAFE TO TRAVEL?
We are governed by the United Kingdom Foreign and Commonwealth Office travel advice. If you have concerns about any destination, please ask your Travel Designer.
ARE THERE ANY HEALTH REQUIREMENTS?
Visit your health professional at least 4 to 6 weeks before your trip to check whether you need any vaccinations or other preventive measures. Country specific information and advice is published by the National Travel Health Network and Centre on the TravelHealthPro website and by NHS (Scotland) on the fitfortravel website. Useful information and advice about healthcare abroad is also available on the NHS Choices website.
WHAT CURRENCY SHOULD I TAKE WITH ME AND HOW SHOULD I CARRY MY MONEY?
Most countries have their own currency and some will also accept US Dollars. Euros and Sterling are less attractive in the exchange houses. It is a good idea to prepare for your arrival by obtaining some low denomination local currency as well as US Dollars which can be used, especially on multi country trips. It is also worth contacting your bank regarding overseas bank charges and to inform them that there will be foreign activity on your account.
ARE THERE ANY LOCAL LAWS AND CUSTOMS THAT I SHOULD BE AWARE OF?
We recommend that you research the places that you will visit to give yourself an overview of the nation psyche, the political situation and any local laws and customs to be aware of. Your Travel Designer will be happy to discuss this with you before you depart.
DO I NEED TRAVEL INSURANCE?
It is your responsibility to ensure that you are fully and adequately insured for the duration of your holiday. Take time to confirm that all activities, excursions and destinations are included. Be particularly careful of any altitude exclusions. Ideally your cover would include, but not be limited to adequate: medical, legal, cancellation, delay and personal possession cover.
WHAT IS MY LUGGAGE ALLOWANCE?
The standard luggage allowance varies between 20-25kgs, plus one small piece of hand luggage. Your Travel Designer can advise on the specific allowances for each of your flights. We recommend you check the airline websites before you travel for the latest hand baggage restrictions and liquid exemptions.
HOW DO I RESERVE A SPECIFIC SEAT ON MY FLIGHT?
Most airlines have a limited number of seats available for advance seating, and most charge to reserve specific seats. Speak to your Travel Designer in advance to discuss the available options.
I HAVE DIETARY REQUIREMENTS. HOW DO I LET THE AIRLINE KNOW?
You should advise your Travel Designer as far in advance as possible of any special dietary requirements, who will inform the airline.
