Treetop Walkway Experience

As one of Tanzania’s smaller parks, Lake Manyara National Park is a lesser-discovered park that visitors often find themselves surprisingly delighted by. Despite its size, it's home to a diverse range of landscapes from Savannah to marsh and forest.

This experience focuses on the forest, and on this treetop adventure, you’ll walk among the canopy and see the surrounding wildlife from up high. You’ll be accompanied by a guide who will be on hand throughout to point out interesting facts about the Lake Manyara flora and fauna. Together you’ll cross one of the longest treetop walkways in Africa.

The airwalk is 370 meters long, and you’ll reach it by following a short boardwalk that rises from the ground and into the canopy of the forest. You’ll cross a series of suspension bridges with viewing decks wrapped around the tree trunks. These treetop platforms are ideal pitstops to savor the canopy atmosphere and search for wildlife. Keep your eyes peeled for butterflies, birds and monkeys.

Let's talk
After my first safari at 12 years old, I haven’t stopped going back to Africa. With diverse landscapes and the Indian Ocean on its doorstep, Tanzania has everything from giraffes to whale sharks. I’ll never forget watching a clan of hyena take on a lone buffalo in Ngorongoro Crater.
