Stilt houses in Ream National Park, Cambodia
Explore Ream National Park, Cambodian Coast
Today’s tour will start at 09:00 when you’ll be collected from your hotel after breakfast. You’ll travel along the coast to Ream National Park, a 210 km² area on the Gulf of Thailand with miles of pristine jungle and mangrove forests to explore.
You’ll board a motorboat and cruise through the mangrove forests while your local guide points out the best places to spot the exotic species that call the Park home. Spot-billed pelicans are among the 200 bird species that are found in the trees, while monkeys and pangolins hide among the trees. If you visit between November-May, you might be lucky enough to spot endangered freshwater dolphins.
The Ream National Park also houses local villages, and you’ll stop at some of their homes to gain an insight into the life for the fishermen and their families. You’ll continue on to Koh Sampouch, a natural beach devoid of modern development, where you’ll tuck into a tasty lunch of freshly caught seafood. You’ll return to Sihanoukville in the afternoon.
