Once you’ve settled into your hotel, head out and explore the capital of Vietnam at your own pace or chill out at the hotel pool ready for the guided full day tour the following day. You’ll start at the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university and an excellent example of traditional Vietnamese architecture. You’ll continue sightseeing before heading to a residential neighborhood for lunch with a local family who worked for the Vietnamese army during the war. Say goodbye to city life and hop aboard a traditional junkboat for a two night cruise around Halong Bay, reached by a thrilling speedboat transfer. Enjoy lunch while watching the stunning, ever changing scenery and karst limestone cliffs; later on you’ll have the opportunity to hop off to swim or kayak at the Ba Trai Dao beach area. Back on board try your hand at a traditional cooking class - or what about a spot of night squid fishing?
