Endangered Puyo Giant Glass Frog, Narupa Reserve, Ecuador
We are proud to support the work of World Land Trust who raise funds for their partner organisations in Ecuador to purchase land which is currently under threat in Ecuador. These vital areas of forest will become wildlife corridors to connect fragmented patches of land, in turn ensuring that a continuous, protected habitat exists for wildlife and local communities.
When you book a holiday through VIVID Travel, we donate £25 per booking to World Land Trust, which will be used for land purchase in Ecuador through Buenaventura, Jorupe, Narupa, Rio Canande, Tapichalaca and Yanacocha. Additionally, VIVID has pledged to support a Keeper of the Wild every year in Ecuador. These rangers act as a vital link to local communities; building trust and raising awareness of pressing conservation issues.
More about World Land Trust
World Land Trust (WLT) has been saving tropical forests and other critically threatened, biodiverse habitats since 1989. It started in Belize with a single project, Programme for Belize, which now protects 262,000 acres of tropical forest and all its wildlife.
World Land Trust now works with 20 overseas conservation organisations throughout the world and forges close relationships for long term effectiveness and conservation innovation. The land that is funded by World Land Trust creates safe havens for important wildlife.
Now in its 30th year, WLT has been instrumental in the purchase and protection of more than 600,000 acres of crucial habitat and has helped leverage the long term protection of a further 2,000,000 acres.
