Holidays to Chile

Stretching over a thin strip of Latin America, Chile is a country full of stark contrasts. You'll find the snow covered peaks of the Altiplano, the sweltering Atacama desert (the driest in the world) and granite pillars in Torres del Paine (our favourite place in Chile).

Exploring the Atacama Desert is a must, a desert that resembles Mars so much that it's used to simulate Mars rovers. Go to San Pedro, the main town and see Chile's largest salt flat. The spectacle of the bright pink flamingos set against the pearl white saltscape is simply beautiful. We recommend looking up at the stars if you go there at night - the unpolluted skies will give you one of the most clear views of the stars and the Milky Way.

If you like road tripping, you can drive around the Chilean Lake District on your own, exploring farmlands, forests, volcanoes and sheer clear lakes. For wine buffs, there's plenty of wine tours for you to sample, especially in Santigao and the Maipo Valley. Santiago, the capital is a fantastic city full of buzzing bars and restaurants. You can even take a cable car to see some breath-taking views.

Discover the dramatic natural beauty of the remote Torres del Paine National Park. Hike around huge glaciers, snowy mountains, cerulean blue lakes, and granite pillars. This spot is one of our favourites in Latin America!
